Cristina Amato (née Calo), 79, of Wood-Ridge (formerly of Hoboken), entered into eternal life on July 28, 2026. Beloved wife of 58 years to Corrado Amato. Devoted mother of Maryanna Scarimbolo and her husband Antonio, Rosanna Gallo and her husband Nicola and Cosmo Amato and his wife Alison. Cherished grandmother of Nicola, Mario, Corrado, Cristina, Cosmo, Corrado, and Joseph.
Cristina was born in Molfetta, Italy to Domenica (née Cappelluti) and Vincenzo Calo. She emigrated to the U.S., settling in Hoboken before relocating to Wood-Ridge. Cristina was a loving daughter, wife, mother, and nonna. She had a passion for cooking and baking for anyone who entered her home. She was sure to remember everyones favorite dish and all would leave feeling satisfied with a to go package. Her patience was undeniable & she truly was the most selfless person that never complained. The love she shared touched countless lives and her absence leaves a void that will be felt by family and friends near and far.
