Obituary

On Saturday, February 13, 2021, Virginia Zanetich, loving wife and mother of three children, passed away at the age of 95. Virginia was born on December 3, 1925 in Hoboken, New Jersey to Patrick and Josephine Ricciardi. She was President of the New Jersey State Federation of Women’s Clubs from 1976-1978, a charter and member of the Contemporary Woman’s Club of Washington Township, serving as Trustee, Federation Secretary, First Vice President, and President during her tenure. Virginia taught courses at Douglas College on parliamentary procedure. She was an entrepreneur and a leader in her beloved town of Hoboken. On July 30, 1944, she married Anthony T. Zanetich. They raised two sons, Ronald and Richard, and daughter, Natalie. She loved nothing more than spending time with her family, traveling the world with her husband, Anthony, and giving back to her community. Her presence was felt in every room she walked in, and she was a woman well ahead of her time. She lived a wonderful life, leaving so many lasting memories and stories that will live far beyond her years. The unconditional love she gave and the values she taught will live in the hearts of all she knew and loved. She will be forever missed. Virginia was preceded in death by her husband, Anthony, her daughter, Natalie, and her siblings, Augie, Nicholas, and Natalie.
