Victoria Cruz, 92, passed away on August 15, 2022.
Born in San German, Puerto Rico to Pedro Velez-Ortiz and Ynocencia Martinez on March 22, 1930.
She had 4 brothers and 4 sisters. She lived in Puerto Rico until coming to New York in 1949 with her husband Juan Cruz. After spending some time in New York, she moved to Jersey City in 1969, where she was a homemaker, housewife, and raised her grandson and nephew.
Victoria is predeceased by her husband Juan and daughter Gladys.
Surviving are her son Eric Cruz, Sr and daughter in law Lavenda Beck-Cruz, nephew Ubaldino Velez, Jr, and grandson/son Eric Cruz, Jr. and grand-daughter-in-law/daughter-in-law Tara Cruz, her great grandchildren Alex, Eric Nicholas, Thomas John and Rosina Angelina Cruz, Sergio, Genesis and Nashaly Rivera. Grandnieces Kathedy Lopez, Jocelyn Velez and grandnephew Ubaldino Velez.
Visitation will be held at Failla-McKnight Memorial Home, Friday, August 19th beginning at 9:30am and concluding at 12pm.
Interment following at Arlington Cemetery in Kearny
