Theresa Marie Klemis, 90, of Hoboken, New Jersey and Honolulu, Hawaii passed away peacefully on Monday, August 28th, 2023 at Queens University Hospital in Honolulu, Hawaii.

Theresa was born in Hoboken, to the late Enrico Gnassi and Mary (nee: DeVito). She retired after a 25-year career as an administrator for the Hudson County District Court. Theresa is predeceased by her beloved son Kenneth Klemis, her life companion Carmen Cutillo, her brother Carmine Gnassi, her sister Linda Pugliese and husband Leonard, and a nephew Leonard Pugliese.

A great joy in Theresa’s life was her cherished nephew retired Hoboken Police Sergeant Enrico Gnassi and his wife Diane ; and her endeared great-nephew Hoboken Police Department Patrolman Enrico Gnassi and great-niece Jacquelyn. Theresa is also survived by a niece Mary Taggert and her children Paul, Julianne and Tiffany.

Visitation will be held at Failla-Mcknight Memorial Home on Wednesday, September 6th, 2023 beginning at 4pm and concluding at 8pm.

Theresa’s funeral mass will be celebrated at St. Ann Roman Catholic Church, in Hoboken on Thursday September 7th, 2023 at 10am.

Interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery in North Arlington, NJ.
