Theresa Del Giudice (nee Polese), 91, formerly of Hoboken and Union City, passed away peacefully on July 18th.

She was the daughter of Luigi Polese and Mary Polese (nee Napolitano) and the youngest of six children.

Theresa had a strong devotion to Saint Ann and was a past member of the St. Ann’s Guild attending the novena, mass, and procession faithfully her whole life.

Theresa was happiest surrounded by family and friends.

She was a wonderful daughter, sister, wife, mother, aunt, grandmother, great grandmother, and friend.

The way to Theresa’s heart was through her children.

She was loyal above all.  Theresa loved to cook, everyone wanted her meatball recipe, and she loved to sing along with the Italian classics, especially songs by Jimmy Roselli. She had a great laugh and a million-dollar smile.

Theresa was traditional but accepting, all at the same time. She demanded respect and was respectful. She was a strong woman and was the backbone of the family.  She will be greatly missed.

Theresa was predeceased by her devoted husband Michael and her loving son Vincent.

Surviving are her two sons John (Melody), Louis (Chancey), and her only daughter Maria (John).

Theresa was blessed with 9 loving grandchildren Michael, David, Cameron (Catalina), Teresa (Bobby), Vincent (Natasha) and Joseph along with 8 great grandchildren John, Jewels, Anthony, Michael, Olivia, Analisa, Dominic, and Daniella.

The Funeral mass will be offered at St. Ann’s RC Church in Hoboken on Monday, July 25th at 10:30am.

Interment will follow with Theresa’s late husband and son at Holy Cross Cemetery in North Arlington, NJ.

Visitation will be held Sunday, July 24th from 2pm to 6pm.

Parking available in rear of memorial home off 6th street.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Ann’s RC Church Restoration Fund in Hoboken.
