Robert J. (Bobby) Milizzo, 66, of Hoboken, passed away peacefully on August 18th, 2024.
He worked for several years as a line cook at the Hilton Hotel in Secaucus, many years as property manager at St. Ann Church where he played an integral role in the behind the scenes working of the St. Ann Festival and finally as a Custodian at the Hoboken Board of Education.
He loved cooking, especially for large family gatherings and holidays. He loved to
decorate with lights outside especially at Christmastime. He loved spending time
at home watching tv, especially the weather, and would give updates on weather reports to everyone.
Bobby was predeceased by his father, Raphael Milizzo and his mother, Nina (nee
Spina).
He is survived by his wife, Margaret (nee Competello) of 44 years, his sister-in-
law Ann Meo and her husband, Dr. Francis W. Meo; his brother-in-law, Mark
Competello and his wife Darlene and his beloved nephews, Dominick and Mark
Anthony Competello, Frank Meo and his beloved niece, Tatianna Competello.
He is also survived by his brother, Joseph and sister, Maria Brown.
Visitation will be held at Failla-McKnight Memorial Home in Hoboken on Wednesday, August 21, 2024 from 3:00 pm – 8:00 pm.
Mass of Christian Burial will be on Thursday, August 22, at St. Ann Church in
Hoboken at 10:00 am.
In lieu of flowers, you are kindly asked to make donations to the Capuchin
Franciscan Friars, Union City, New Jersey or the American Cancer Society in
Bobby’s memory.
