She is survived by her two loving children, Lisa Capelli and Robert Capelli Jr., and her dear grandson,
Jackson Capelli. She is also survived by her cherished sister, Cecilia Butka, and her husband, Kenny
Butka; her son-in-law, Bobby Truppner; and her daughter-in-law, Maura Capelli.
Phyllis was the devoted aunt of Chrissy and Lori, and the loving great-aunt of Mark and Ava. She is

Phyllis was born on May 14, 1943, in Hoboken to Jennie (née DeGaeta) and Frank Baxter Giongrete. She was employed as a Coordinator of Environmental Services for the City of Hoboken for many years.
She was also an honorary Saint Ann’s Guild member for over 30 years and was the valedictorian of her

Phyllis was a truly remarkable woman—generous, endlessly loving, and deeply caring. She gave free
of herself to both family and strangers alike, always ready to help anyone in need without hesitation.
Her kindness, compassion, and willingness to do anything for anyone defined who she was, and her
gentle spirit touched every life she encountered.
