Obituary

Philip Casella, 81, of Hoboken, passed away peacefully on November 18, 2025.  Predeceased by his loving parents, Mildred and Philip.  Philip was a devoted friend to many in the Hoboken community.  Born on February 25, 1944, Phil lived a life defined by authenticity, loyalty, and a gentle yet vibrant spirit that touched all who knew him.

He found joy in the simple but meaningful pleasures that reflected who he was.  He adored Connie Francis, old movies and dinners, treasured long evenings over coffee with friends, and held a deep love for his trips to Italy, a place that brought him peace, pride, and connection to his roots.  Phil lived simply but fully, guided by loyalty, humor, and a quiet warmth that endeared him to everyone fortunate to know him.

A Funeral Mass will be offered on Thursday, November 20, 2005, 11:00 AM at St. Francis R.C. Church, 3rd & Jefferson Street, Hoboken, NJ.  Philip will be interred at General William C. Doyle Memorial Cemetery. Arrangements under the care of the Failla-McKnight Memorial Home, 533 Willow Avenue, Hoboken.
