Peter Lorenzo born April 12, 1951 a lifelong resident of Hoboken, a fighting Irishman till the end, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on Saturday, August 5, 2023.
A true American, Peter served in the U.S. National Guard for 5 years. Upon returning home, he became a proud member of the IBEW Local No. 3 Electrical Union of New York City for 40 years. Forging lifelong friendships with his Union Brothers.
Peter was the life of the party, whether on the ski slopes, cruise ships or dinners with his dear friends. The King of a Good Joke! With his contagious laugh and smile that could light up a room. He truly knew how to live life to the fullest.
Pete brought such joy to his family and friends. He was the greatest husband, father, and Pop-pop. Known as the “fix it all man”, there was no item he couldn’t rig or put together. He loved to cook and was known for his delicious breakfasts “breakfix” and his adoration of old movies and music.
His favorite pastime was cruising around Greenwood Lake on his boat, The Clancy Rose, with his devoted wife of 52 years by his side.
Peter is survived by his beloved wife Rosemarie “Moe”, his three daughters Michelle, Meredith and Holly, sons-in-law, fellow IBEW member John Airey and Hoboken Police Officer, Anthony Hochstadter, 8 grandchildren Aliyah, Peter, Tatum, Barbara, Lorenzo, Trey, Willow, Anthony Jr., also his sister Audrey and brother-in-law Joseph Romano, sister Virginia Covino and sister-in-law Sydney Revere.
He is predeceased by his mother Eileen Clancy, father Ralph Lorenzo, brother Kenneth Lorenzo, brother-in-law Paul Revere and mother-in-law Rose Giroux.
Visitation Wednesday August 9th beginning at 3pm and concluding at 8pm.
The funeral mass will be offered at ST. Francis RC Church in Hoboken Thursday August 10th beginning at 10am interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery in North Arlington, NJ.
