Peter J. Stigliano, age 83 of Hackettstown, formerly of Hoboken, passed away peacefully September 8th, 2024 at home surrounded by his loving family.
Peter was predeceased by his beloved father, Peter and his mother Dorothy (nee Presley) and his sister Faye Bartel.
He is survived by his wife Bernadine (nee Simone), loving and devoted father to Sharon (Iannacone) and her husband Michael, son Peter and his wife Lory, daughter Donna who has been his loving caretaker during his illness, and son Thomas.
Peter was a truck driver for various trucking companies throughout the years including P.I.E. He was a shop steward and a proud member of Local 560 Teamsters. Peter also enjoyed being a member of the Chapter 11 club in Hoboken, where there was great company and life long friends.
His pride and joy were his beautiful grandchildren, Peter James Stigliano, Christina Guirland and husband Ronnie, Melissa Sclafani and husband Joseph, Jessica Martinez and husband Will, Nicodemus Thomas and Thomas Michael Stigliano Jr. His Great Grandchildren lit up his world, Breonna, Gavin, Olivia and Joseph.
Peter was a man of deep faith who had an unwavering love for his family. He found profound joy in spending time with his family and friends, sharing stories of his youthful escapades. He enjoyed singing and listening to Italian songs, dancing and being “happy happy” !
The Funeral Mass will be offered on Thursday September 12th, 2024 at St. Ann Roman Catholic Church, Hoboken at 10am.
Visitation will be held at the Failla-McKnight Memorial Home in Hoboken on Wednesday September 11th, 2024 from 4pm to 8pm.
Private cremation to follow at East Ridgelawn Cemetery in Clifton, NJ.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Alzheimer’s Association of New Jersey.
