Obituary

Paul J. Lisa, 60, a lifelong resident of Hoboken, passed away on March 20, 2026, leaving behind a legacy of love, laughter, and devotion to his family. He was the beloved son of the late John and Joan Lisa.

Paul’s greatest joy was his roles as a husband, father, and grandfather. He is survived by his devoted and loving wife, Diana Lisa, and his beloved children, Stephanie Sandoval, Alexis Hardy, and Paul Lisa Jr. He was the cherished father-in-law of Robert Sandoval and Christopher Hardy.

He adored his grandchildren, Tyler Jose Sandoval, Samantha Skye Sandoval, Jordan Paul Sandoval, and Olivia Rose Hardy, who brought immense happiness to his life.

Paul was a Senior Financial Control Coordinator at University Hospital in Newark, but to those who knew him, he was so much more than his title. He was loved by all of his co-workers, not just for his strong work ethic, but for the way he brought light into every room. His dad jokes were constant, and he never missed a chance to make someone laugh. Being around Paul meant feeling valued, supported, and cared for.

His friendship was truly one of a kind and will be deeply missed. His warmth, generosity, and spirit left a lasting impression on all who knew him from childhood to adulthood. The memories he gave us will remain in our hearts forever.

All services are private and under the direction of the Failla-McKnight Memorial Home, 533 Willow Avenue, Hoboken.
