Michela DiSalvi, 85, of Newark, passed away peacefully on November 9, 2025. She is survived by her beloved husband, Raffaele, and their loving daughters, Sofia DiSalvi and the late Rosa Pasquale (2023), as well as her son-in-law, James Pasquale. She is the cherished grandmother of Nadia Pasquale and her husband Ehab Mersal, Urbano Raffaele and his fiancé Alexis Gonzales, and Vincent Pasquale, as well as devoted great grandmother to Laila and Adam Mersal. Michela will be truly missed by her loving family and friends.

Michela was born on January 2, 1940, in Buonalbergo, Italy to Rosina (née Ventura) and Alberto Minutella. She immigrated from Italy to Brazil, where she met Raffaele, before settling in Newark in 1999.

Visitation will take place on Tuesday, November 11, 4-8 PM, at the Failla-McKnight Memorial Home, 533 Willow Avenue, Hoboken, NJ 07030. Funeral Mass will take place on Wednesday, November 12, 10 AM at St. Ann’s Church, 704 Jefferson Ave, Hoboken, NJ 07030. Michela will be laid to rest alongside her mother, Rosina, at Bergen Crest Mausoleum, North Bergen.
