Mary Perez, 72, of West New York, formerly of Hoboken passed away peacefully at Sloan Kettering Hospital, NYC with her daughter at her side. Born in Hoboken and moved to West New York in 2003. Mary was a lifelong parishioner of Our Lady of Grace Church in Hoboken. A retired District Sales Manager for many years for Avon products. Mary will be best remembered for her optimism, zest for life, love of family and her proud galician heritage. Mary enjoyed travelling abroad and was called “the cheerful warrior” because of her hope filled attitude on life. Predeceased by her husband Andres, three months ago and her parents Eusebio Casales Seijo and Maria Del Carmen Gonzalez Seijo. Surviving is her only daughter and best friend, Cristina, two nieces Isabel Savi and Olympia Picos, and her great nieces and nephews, Victoria Savi, Alexander Savi, Dominique Casales and Robert Casales, Jr.; her cherished cousins Modesto and Zulema Collazo. Mary will be sadly missed by Antoinetta Picca. She was also predeceased by her late nephew, Robert Casales and her brother Jesus Casales and his wife Maria.
The Funeral Mass will be offered on Friday, January 3, 2020, 9:30am at Our Lady of Grace Church, Hoboken. Entombment will follow at Holy Cross Chapel Mausoleum, North Arlington, NJ. Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 2nd, 2pm to 4pm and 7pm to 9pm at Failla-McKnight Memorial Home, 533 Willow Avenue, Hoboken. Valet parking available in rear of memorial home off Sixth Street.
