Marie Antoinette Medina-Classen “Maria”, 55, of Hoboken, passed away on January 22, 2021 surrounded by her loving family. A devoted wife and mother, Maria was born in Jersey City and was a lifelong resident of Hoboken. Maria is survived by her beloved husband, Rodney Classen, her devoted mother, Maria Miranda, and her cherished children, Hoboken Police Officer Harry Montalvo and his wife Brittani, Hoboken Police Officer Jason Montalvo and his wife Madellyn, Jasmin Montalvo and her husband Anthony, Jo-Marie Montalvo, Rodney Classen Jr, Lucas Classen, Judith Vasquez and Natalie Classen. Also surviving are two sisters Rosalinda Lopez and Michelle Medina, a brother Joseph Lopez and mother-in-law, Marceline B. Carballo. Maria was predeceased by her father Luis Medina and a sister Wilhelmina. We especially acknowledge the kindness, love and support of her daughter in-law Brittani, during her illness. Maria was blessed with fourteen grand children, and a soon to be born great grandchild. Known to many as the “Pastelles Queen” Maria had a strong passion for cooking, and will be especially missed for her food that always brought her family together. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 26, 2021, from 4:00 -8:00 PM, at the Failla -McKnight Memorial Home, in Hoboken. There will be a private Funeral Service on Wednesday.
