Marie DeLeonardis, 92, a lifelong resident of Hoboken, entered into eternal rest on the morning of June 8th, 2023 surrounded by family.
Marie attended Our Lady of Grace School and St. Michael’s High School and was a member of St. Ann’s Parish. She retired from her job at AT&T after 38 years of service and continued to sing the praises of AT&T until the very end. In her spare time, Marie travelled the world, visiting many countries and many states in the United States. She loved people, singing, dancing, enjoying delicious Italian pastry and food, attending Mass, and going for her many daily walks all around her beloved hometown of Hoboken.
Marie was predeceased by her parents Marcia (nee Rotondella) and Vito DeLeonardis, as well as her siblings Sr. Gertrude, Anthony, Frank, Fr. Gerard, and Anna (Grasso). She is survived by many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, and even a few great-great nieces and nephews. Marie is one of those truly special aunts who will be forever missed and always remembered
A mass will be offered at St. Ann’s RC Church in Hoboken on Monday, June 19th, 2023 beginning at 10am.
Entombment will immediately follow at Madonna Mausoleum in Fort Lee, NJ.
The visitation will be held at Failla-McKnight Memorial Home; 533 Willow Avenue, Hoboken, NJ on Sunday, May 18th, 2023 beginning at 4pm and concluding at 8pm.
Parking is available in rear of memorial home, off sixth street, between Park Avenue and Willow Avenue. Additional parking is available in the parking lot adjacent to Our Lady of Grace Rectory on Fourth Street and Willow Ave.
