Maria “Zulma” Reyes , 91, of Secaucus (formerly of Hoboken) died peacefully on December 6, 2021 at the Bey Lea Village Nursing & Rehabilitation Center of Toms River, NJ. Predeceased by her beloved husband, Julio. She is survived by her loving children; Marisa (James) Sorrentino, Myrna (the late Pasquale “Pat”) Giannini, Julio (Kathleen) Reyes, Jose “Cheo” (Barbara) Reyes, Cynthia “Cindy” (Joseph) Santiago, Nancy (Jerry) Rotondi. Cherished grandmother of Frank, Chris, Saxon, Kim, PJ, Brendan, Christian, Anthony, Michael, Ciara, Joey, Jerry, Chris, and many great-grandchildren. Dear sister of Margie Irizarry, Ruben, Elmer, Willie, and Billy Lerdo.

Maria was born in Puerto Rico to Jose and Amalia Lerdo. She was an accomplished seamstress working for many garment companies throughout Hoboken prior to retiring.

Blessing Friday, December 10th, 10 AM at the Failla-McKnight Memorial Home, 533 Willow Avenue, Hoboken. Maria will be laid to rest with her husband at Hillside Cemetery, Lyndhurst. Visiting will be held at the memorial home on Thursday, December 9th, commencing at 4 PM and concluding at 8 PM. Parking is available in the rear of the memorial home off Sixth Street.
