Maria Minervini (nee Mele), 83, passed away peacefully at Hackensack Hospital on Saturday, February 8, 2020 in the presence of her family. Born in Molfetta, Italy, to parents Sergio and Angela (nee Petruzella) Mele. Maria immigrated to Hoboken in 1972.  She was a resident of Jersey City at the time of her passing. Maria was a devotee to Padre Pio. Predeceased by her husband Paul (2015). She was a devoted housewife and mother to her only son, Corrado Minervini, and four loving daughters, Anna Gadaleta (Cosimo), Angela Facchini (Vito), Lucrezia Bini (Vincenzo) and Corrada Daniele (Pietro). Also surviving is her sister, Isabella Annese. A great joy in her life were her cherished grandchildren, Sabrina, Paul, Angelo, Gianni, Daniela, Paulina, Mariangela, Nicole, Gabriella, Paul, Cristoforo, Catherine, Maria, Francesco, Anthony, Nicholas, Marco and Marisa. She was also predeceased by two brothers Tommaso and Angelo Mele and a sister, Nicoletta Cormio.

The Funeral Mass will be offered on Thursday, February 13, 2020, 10AM at St. Ann Catholic Church, 704 Jefferson Street, Hoboken. Entombment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, North Arlington, NJ. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, February 12, 2020, beginning at 4PM and concluding at 9PM at Failla-McKnight Memorial Home, 533 Willow Avenue, Hoboken. Valet parking available in rear of memorial home off Sixth Street.
