Katherine “Kathy” Ann Bracey, 54 years young, a lifelong resident of Hoboken passed away peacefully on April 30th, 2021 surrounded by her loving immediate family.
Katherine was born in Hoboken, NJ to the late Edna (nee Job) and Larry Bracey. She was raised by her devoted grandparents Ellen “Nanny” and Joseph “Poppy” LoPresto.
She is predeceased by her brother Joshua Bracey.
Kathy is survived by her five children, who made up the entirety of her world, Tamika Lynn Dominguez, Justin Luke Torres, Irisha Latina Rivera, Cherish Le’Chea Rose Frazier, and Lorenzo Wesley Frazier. She was a dedicated mother first and foremost. She treasured her children and embraced every moment with them, especially her role as grandma to Jacob Diaz, Kingston Perez, and Aziel Torres.
She had a vivacious personality and always made people around her laugh. She cared deeply for her family and friends. She did this not out of obligation, but because of who she was. Kathy will be best remembered for her amazing cooking skills and the special touches she would put into all her recipes and the effortless love and generosity she had for others, especially to those in need. She had an absolute zest for life. Kathy loved dancing and watching her true crime shows while snacking on her favorite treat Jelly Rings. She will leave an everlasting impression on all who knew her.
Kathy will be missed by her siblings, Ellen Hernandez, William “Billy Joe” Bracey, Larry Bracey, Chip Charles Bracey, and Barbara Bracey and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held at the Failla-McKnight Memorial Home on May 4th, 2021 beginning at 6pm and concluding at 7pm. Services thereafter will be private. We ask all guests to wear a mask and follow all Covid-19 regulations.
