Josephine J. Fitzhenry, 82, of Verona, N.J. passed away peacefully on December 4, 2025 surrounded by her family. She is the beloved wife of the late James A. Fitzhenry (July 2009). She is survived by her loving children, James Patrick Fitzhenry, Stephanie Erin Fitzhenry and son-in-law Stephen O’Byrne. She is also survived by her dearest sister, Judith Braun. The world will be a lonelier place without her light and love.

Josephine was born on April 30,1943 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania to Nina (née Ragazina) and Dominick Messina. She was employed at Columbus Hospital in Newark and Hospice of New Jersey, and resided in Verona, NJ for 30 years.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 11th, 4-8 PM, at Failla-McKnight Memorial Home, 533 Willow Avenue, Hoboken, NJ 07030.

Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, December 12th, 10:30 AM, at St. Ann’s Church, 704 Jefferson Street, Hoboken, NJ 07030.

Cremation will be private.  Flowers are accepted, but donations are preferred.
