Joseph P. Casella, 70, of Hoboken, NJ, passed away peacefully on Saturday, October 5th, 2024.

He is survived by his wife, Victoria (nee Ascolese), A son Joseph, A daughter Ashley DiMartino and her husband Joseph DiMartino and a cherished granddaughter Eviana. Joseph will be sadly missed by his siblings, Sharon Pepe and her husband Frank, Flora Slodyczka and her husband Edward, John Casella and Diane Casella.

A host of endeared nieces and nephews also survive him.

Joseph was born on February 27th, 1954 in Hoboken, NJ to his parents Mary (nee Cogelia) and Joseph Casella.

He graduated from Hoboken High School in 1974, where he was a talented student and athlete. Joseph was also a member of the Young Dem’s club of Hoboken.

He was employed with the United States Postal Services for over 35 years.

Joseph enjoyed spending time with his children and taking walks with his dog “Willow”. He had a great love for sports and was a proud New York Yankees and New York Giants fan. He often enjoyed watching games with his family.

The Funeral Mass will be offered on Wednesday October 9th 2024 at St. Francis Roman Catholic Church at 308 Jefferson St. Hoboken, NJ at 10:00 AM.

Entombment will follow at Holy Cross Chapel Mausoleum, 340 Ridge Road, North Arlington, NJ.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October, 8th, 2024 beginning at 3:00 PM and concluding at 8:00 PM at the Failla-McKnight Memorial Home in Hoboken, NJ. Parking available in rear of memorial home off 6th street.
