Joseph A. Sciancalepore, 71, of Toms River formerly Hoboken passed away peacefully on Saturday March 1st, 2025 at Ocean Medical Center.
Born and raised in Hoboken, he was a teamster truck driver of building materials for many years.
Joseph leaves behind his wife of 43 years, Nancy (Quaglieri) Sciancalepore. Together they shared an amazing life of devotion and true friendship.
He is predeceased by his parents, Luigi and Maddalena Sciancalepore and sister Pasqua Minervini.
Joseph leaves behind his sister and brother in law Frances and Mauro Allegretta and brother in law Mauro Minervini.
A great joy in his life was his cherished nieces and nephews, especially all his great nieces and nephews.
Joseph enjoyed model trains, cars (Corvettes) and most of all spending winters in Florida.
Many would say Joe had “hands of gold” with a mind to match. Joseph had the ability to build, fix, create and recreate anything out of wood.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday March 5th, 2025 beginning at 3:00 PM and concluding at 7:00 PM.
The Funeral Mass will be offered at the St. Ann’s RC Church on Thursday March 6th, 2025 at 10:30 AM.
Entombment will follow at Holy Cross Mausoleum in North Arlington, NJ.
