With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of our cherished Joanne, who brought light and joy to everyone she met.

Joanne (née Rizzo) Lisa, 66, of Maywood, passed away peacefully on February 27, 2026 surrounded by her family. 

Joanne was born on April 24, 1959 in Monte San Giacomo, Italy, to Angelina (née Amato) and Giuseppe Rizzo. She is survived by her beloved husband of 44 years, Peter Lisa, and their two loving children, Joselle (Chris) Costa and Vincent (Ashley) Lisa. She is also survived by her devoted mother, Angelina, her cherished sisters, Marie (David) Pfaff and Lena (Mike) Liegel, her two dearest grandchildren Madison and Christopher, with one on the way, Stephanie, as well as her mother-in-law Josephine Lisa, sister-in-law Tonya (Billy) Reyes, brother-in-law Matthew Lisa and beloved nieces and nephews- Alyssa, Michelle, Anthony, Chris, Wes & Kyle.  She is predeceased by her father, Giuseppe and father-in-law Vincent Lisa.

Joanne was known for her kind heart and infectious smile that brightened every room. She was the heart of our family welcoming everyone in her home with open arms. Her grandchildren were the light of her later years, receiving her undivided attention and love. Joanne will be truly missed by her adoring family and friends.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 3, 4-8 PM at St. Ann’s Church, 704 Jefferson Street, Hoboken, NJ 07030, followed by a Funeral Mass on Wednesday, March 4, 10AM at the church.

Joanne will be laid to rest at Holy Cross Mausoleum, North Arlington.
