James L. Wallington, 60, a lifelong Hoboken, NJ resident entered into eternal life on September 7, 2025.  James is survived by his loving wife, Nancy Forsyth, his mother Dolores Wallington, his sister Dana Paturzo, mother-in-law Portia Reilly, step daughters Brianna Reilly and Cameron Hernandez, step son-in-law John Carlos Hernandez and his two beautiful step grandchildren Olivia and Christopher whom he adored.

James served 25 years with the Hoboken Fire Department and retired in 2012 as a Captain.  James, or as he was better known “Jimmy” had a quick wit and a zest for life. He loved animals but dogs were his favorite.  One of his favorite past times was to visit the dog park to watch play. He was loved by all who knew him and will be dearly missed.

A celebration of James’s life will take place on Wednesday, September 10, 2025, from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Failla-McKnight Memorial Home, 533 Willow Avenue, Hoboken.  Parking is available in the rear of the funeral home off Sixth Street.  Funeral Mass Thursday, September 11, 2025, 10:00 at St. Ann’s R.C.
