Hilda Ortiz (née Carballo), 98, of Hoboken, NJ, entered into eternal life on August 13, 2025.  Predeceased by her husband, Miguel Ortiz (1975).  Devoted mother of twins, Jose and Juan, Tony, Miriam, Lenore, Diane, Rosita, Ida, Carmen, Sylvia and Rebecca.  Cherished grandmother and great-grandmother of a host of grandchildren and great-grandchildren.  Hilda is predeceased by her children; Samuel, William, Miguel, Jimmy, Freddie, David, Edward, Gladys and Suzana.

Born Hilda Caraballo Valle on February 13, 1927, in Mayagüez, Puerto Rico, she was the cherished daughter of the late Antonia Valle Carrero and Candido Caraballo Morales. She was a loving wife and mother, and will be deeply missed by her loving family.

Visitation, Monday, August 18, 2025, 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Mt. Olive Baptist Church, 721 Washington Ave., Hoboken. A Service will be offered at the Church on Tuesday, August 19, 2025, 10:00 AM.  Hilda will be laid to rest at Hoboken Cemetery, North Bergen.
