Obituary

Filippo Lucivero, of Ocean Gate, formerly Hoboken, passed away on Saturday, August 7, 2021, at the age of 88. He died peacefully, surrounded with his beloved family at his side at Jersey Shore Hospital.

Filippo was born in Molfetta, Italy on January 4, 1933. He, his wife Angela, daughter Madeline and sons Dominic and Nicholas moved to Hoboken, New Jersey in 1972. He worked at New Jersey Transit Railroad for many years. He was known for his work ethic, who sacrificed to provide for his family. Over the years he overcame obstacles, with the heart of a fighter and the strength of a bull. He and his wife relocated to Ocean Gate, where he found peace by the ocean. 

Filipoo is survived by his wife, Angela; daughter Madeline, husband Joseph; son Dominic, wife Linda; son Nicholas, wife Kelly; grandchildren Anna, husband Steven; Joseph, fiance Erin; Angela; Gabriella; great-grand child Sienna, whom he adored.

He was predeceased by his parents, brothers and sister in Molfetta, Italy. 

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 10, 2021 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Failla- McKnight Memorial Home, 533 Willow Avenue, Hoboken, NJ. Parking available in the rear of the memorial home, off Sixth Street.

Funeral Mass will be offered on Wednesday, August 11, 2021, 10:00 AM at St. Ann’s Roman and Catholic Church, Hoboken, New Jersey. 

Interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, in North Arlington, NJ.
