Edward G. Prins, Sr., 72, of Hoboken, passed away peacefully on Thursday, November 26, 2020 at Palisades Medical Center, North Bergen, NJ. Born in Jersey City. He was predeceased by his parents, Abraham and Antoinette (nee Janecek) Prins. Edward worked in Maintenance for Meer Corp and Hoboken Housing Authority. He loved to bowl, was an avid and loyal fan of the Pittsburg Steelers and NY Yankees and loved his pipe. He was known a “Eddie the Pipe”. Surviving is his loving wife, Jo Ann (nee Franklin), his five sons, Michael Prins, Edward G. Prins, Jr. (Jill), Thomas Prins, Stephen Prins (Monakay), Brian Prins (Anisa) and a sister, Susan Lucignano. A great joy in Edward’s life were his eight grandchildren, Edward III, Channing, Nicholas, Jackson, Anthony, Alexa, Jordyn and Elizah.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 1, 2020, beginning at 4pm and concluding at 8pm at Failla-McKnight Memorial Home, 533 Willow Avenue, Hoboken. Parking available in rear of memorial home off Sixth Street. Private Cremation.

- All people attending must wear a mask while inside and around the outside of the funeral home.
- For safety, the number of attendees indoors will be limited to a reduced capacity according to currently allowed levels and shall be monitored by the management.
