Dimitrios “Jimmy” Babalis, 73, of Secaucus, passed away on March 8, 2026.  Survived by his wife, Cathy, her siblings, Colette, Patty and spouse Myra and daughter Angelina, his nephew, Nicholas Babalis and his wife Sholien, their two children, Alexander and Konstantinos Babalis.  Also survived by his niece, Katerina Sciglitano, and husband Filoreto, and children, Georgina and Joseph, and survived by his sisters-in-law, Georgia Babalis and Froso Babalis.  Predeceased by his brothers, Apostolos and Konstantinos Babalis.

Dimitrios was born in Kalamata, Greece to Erasmia (née Christopoulou) and Nikolaos Babalis.  He was a baker at the Malibu Diner in Hoboken for many years.

Visitation will be held from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM with a Greek Orthodox Service on Friday, March 13, 2026 at the Failla-McKnight Memorial Home, 533 Willow Avenue, Hoboken.  Parking is available in the rear of the funeral home off Sixth Street.
