Ciro A. Sarra, 88, of Hoboken, NJ, passed away peacefully in the presence of his family at The Valley Hospital in Ridgewood on April 8, 2022. Ciro was born in Caggiano, Italy and immigrated to the United States settling in Hoboken. He worked for the Railroad as a Technician for many years before retiring. Ciro was a devoted parishioner of St. Francis R.C. Church, Hoboken. He loved his Italian television station, his soccer games, and playing the lottery, making sauce, and homemade capicolla salami. Ciro was an avid Napoli soccer fan. He was loved not only by his family but by anyone who knew him. He was predeceased by his loving wife Teresa (nee Isoldi) and his son Vittorio recently in Italy. Surviving is his cherished son Antonio and his wife Dolores, and daughter in law Giuseppina. A great joy in his life is his six granddaughters Teresa, Daniella, Teresa, Antonella, Katrina, and Angela. He was also blessed with seven great grandchildren, Gabrielle, Francesco, Victtoria, Lea Teresa, Zander, Rosario, and Antonio. Ciro also while in the United States was a dedicated member and fundraiser for Caggiano Society both in New Jersey and New York.
The Funeral Mass will be offered at St. Francis R.C Church on Tuesday, April 12, 2022 beginning at 10 A.M. with an entombment following at Holy Cross Mausoleum, North Arlington. Ciro’s wake will be held at St. Francis R.C. Church at Third Street and Jefferson, Hoboken on Monday April 11, 2022 beginning at 3 P.M. and concluding 8 P.M. Parking available adjacent to St. Francis R.C. Church. (NO VISITAION AT MEMORIAL HOME)
