Obituary

Christina M. Sucato, a cherished wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt, great-aunt, and friend, passed away peacefully on June 19, 2025.

Born in Hoboken, NJ, to Erminia and Alexander Addesso, Christina was a lifelong New Jersey resident whose love for family was the heart of her world. She was predeceased by her devoted husband, Vito Sucato, with whom she shared 62 wonderful years of marriage until his passing on November 2, 2012.

She is survived by her loving daughters, Judy Daly and Christine Kurnath, and her two son-in-laws, John Daly and Bill Kurnath, who she loved as her own. Christina was a proud grandmother to Jamie Ganter and her husband John, Cassandra Kurnath and her partner Isaac Caulfield, Kelly McManus and her husband Alexander, Alexandra Cole and her husband Peter, Jack Daly and his wife Kendall, and Mackenzie Kellard and her husband Sam. She was a devoted great-grandmother to Campbell Ganter, Chase Cole, Britton McManus, Walker Ganter, Xander Caulfield, Palmer Cole, and Casey McManus. She was also a beloved aunt and great-aunt to many nieces and nephews, each of whom held a special place in her heart.

Her greatest joy was being surrounded by her family—whether cooking Sunday dinners, offering quiet words of wisdom, or simply holding a baby in her arms. Her warmth, strength, and unwavering love shaped generations, and her legacy will live on through the lives she nurtured.

Family and friends are invited to celebrate Christina’s life during visitation at Failla Memorial Home on Sunday, June 22, 2025, from 3:00 to 7:00 PM, and at a memorial Mass at Saint Ann Catholic Church on Monday, June 23, 2025, at 10:00 AM.

Entombment will follow at Holy Name Mausoleum in Jersey City.

Christina’s memory will live on in the hearts of those she loved and who were so lucky to be loved by her.
