Carmen I. Diaz Petrone (Colon), 60, of Hoboken, passed away peacefully on Thursday, May 13, 2021 surrounded by her family.  She is survived by her beloved husband Tony Colon.  Carmen was the devoted mother of Nancy and step children Chris and Frank Petrone.  The greatest joy in her life were her cherished grandchildren Syla, Storm, Scarlett, and Paris.  She is also survived by her siblings Orlando and Nydia Diaz.  Carmen was born in Jersey City, NJ to Marcelina and Christino Diaz.  She worked for the city of Hoboken for over 20 years.  She began her career as a Police Dispatcher and then worked for the Hoboken Parking Enforcement Department.  Carmen was a true survivor.  Family and friends will always remember her with laughter, love, and kindness.  She will be sadly missed by all who knew her.

Visitation will be held on Monday, May 17th beginning at 4 P.M. and concluding at 8 PM at the Failla-McKnight Memorial Home, 533 Willow Avenue, Hoboken. Funeral Mass Tuesday, May 18th, 9:30 AM at St. Peter & Paul R.C. Church, Hoboken.  Interment will follow at Flower Hill Cemetery, North Bergen.
