Obituary

Bruce Radigan, 69, of Hoboken, NJ passed away on June 6, 2022.  Bruce was born on October 27, 1952 to Joseph William and Josephine (Apollo).  Bruce was a lifelong resident of Hoboken where he attended Our Lady of Grace elementary school, then graduated from Hoboken High School before earning his Bachelors of Arts in education from Jersey City State University.  After graduating from college, Bruce got a job teaching in his hometown, where he met his wife of forty-three years, Marie (Siano).

Bruce was a huge sports fan.  He loved watching the Giants, the Rangers, Rutgers football, and the Yankees. He also loved reading about, playing, and especially coaching sports.  His greatest joy was coaching his son, Joseph, and hundreds of other Hoboken athletes in both basketball and baseball. Bruce coached basketball for four years at Connors School and baseball at Hoboken High School for twenty-six years.  When Bruce retired from coaching, his passion for sports was then seen in his involvement in the AJ Demarest – Hoboken High School Hall of Fame. He later became the Master of Ceremonies for the Hall of Fame over the last fifteen years.

Off the court and field, Bruce enjoyed golfing with his cousin, Edward (Maureen) Radigan and bowling.  Bruce was also an active member of the Elks Lodge 74.  Daily, you could find Bruce jogging and power walking around Hoboken.  He also loved the news and shared current events with everyone around town and on the beach in Manahawkin.

Bruce is survived by his wife, Marie, his son, Joseph (Barbara), and his grandsons, Andrew and Nicholas.

A viewing will take place on Thursday, June 9, 2022 at Failla-McKnight Memorial Home from 4:00 pm-8:00 pm in Hoboken.  Mass will be held on Friday, June 10, 2022 at St. Francis Church.  Interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery in North Arlington.
