Arnold M. Alfano, 44, of Hoboken, passed away peacefully at his home on July 21st, 2022.
Born in Secaucus on May 25th, 1978.
Arnold beloved son of Marianne Alfano and Arnold S. Alfano.
He is survived by his parents, his aunts Ella Doucoudray, Elizabeth Trancucci, Theresa Alfano and Eve Soto, and an uncle Mark Minervini.
Arnold played a huge part in the lives of his cousins, and they loved him dearly.
He was a true brother to so many childhood friends.
He was godfather, and “funcle” to their children.
Arnold proudly grew up in Hoboken where he attended Calabro Elementary School, St. Peter’s Prep High School and Hoboken High School.
He enjoyed playing sports all through his school years, and football on both high schools’ teams. He went on to St Peter’s College, and while completing his formal education, Arnold became a Hoboken Firefighter from 2001 through 2015.
His love for children leads him to coach for the Hoboken Fire Department little league team. He later worked at Event Staging Inc. as a stage event planner where he made lifelong friends.
Lastly, he was a trusted real estate associate for Howard Hanna/ Rand Realty.
Arnold found joy in simple pleasures. Spending time with his family, and friends meant the world to him. He was a foodie who especially looked forward to Christmas Eve dinner. He was a sports enthusiast, and a diehard Jets fan.
Arnold had a smile that would light up a room, and lift your spirits.
He was kind, compassionate and a joy to be around.
A gentle giant, with an even bigger heart is how he will be remembered.
The passing of Arnold has left a void in the hearts of his family and friends.
The Funeral mass will be offered at St. Francis’s RC Church in Hoboken on Thursday, July 28th at 11am.
Entombment will follow at Holy Cross Mausoleum in North Arlington, NJ.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, July 27th from 3pm to 8pm.
