Obituary

Virginia “Jeanie” Mascolo (nee Vlacich), 87, passed away peacefully in the presence of her son and daughter on December 8, 2019 at Palisades Medical Center, North Bergen.  Jeanie was born in Jersey City and lived most of her life in Hoboken.  She was a long-time resident of North Bergen prior to her death.  A retired Assistant Buyer for The United Retail Group in Rochelle Park for 20 years.  

Surviving is her only son Joseph Mascolo and a devoted daughter Antoinette “Toni” Alterio and her husband Gary.  Also surviving are two sisters, Marion Garland and Louann Billis and her husband Kevin, and a brother Raymond Garland and his endeared companion Liz.  She was recently predeceased by a sister Patricia Antonicello.  She will be sadly missed by her brother in law Nick Antonicello and several nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to share in the celebration of the Eucharist at the Funeral Mass to be offered on Wednesday, December 11, at Our Lady of Grace R.C. Church, Hoboken at 10AM.  Visitation will be held on Tuesday, beginning at 4PM and concluding at 8PM. Valet parking available in rear of memorial home off 6th street.
