Vincenzo Pellegrini, 88, passed away in the presence of his family on Sunday, August 18, 2019 at Hoboken University Medical Center. Born in Molfetta, Italy, Vincenzo emigrated in 1965 to Hoboken and has been a resident since. He was a Welder at the Union Dry Dock from 1974 until his retirement in 1996.  Vincenzo was a member of the Juventus Soccer Club in Hoboken. Predeceased by his parents Giuseppe and Lucrezia (nee Squeo) Pellegrini. He leaves to mourn his passing his cherished wife Addolorata “Dora”, nee Centrone, his three loving sons, Joseph (Maria), Leo (Kimberly) and Victor (Dominika), a brother Onofrio (Maria) and a sister Laura Troia. A great joy in Vincenzo’s life were his cherished grandchildren, Jason, Lexi, Juliana and Luca and several nieces and nephews. He was also predeceased by his two sisters, Anastasia DelRosso Germinario and Aurelia.

The Funeral Mass will be offered on Thursday, August 22, 2019, 10am at St. Ann Catholic Church, 704 Jefferson Street, Hoboken. There will be no visitation prior to the funeral mass. Friends are relatives are respectfully asked to gather at St. Ann Church no later than 9:45am. Entombment will follow at Holy Cross Mausoleum, North Arlington, NJ. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 21, 2019, beginning at 4pm and concluding at 9pm. Failla-McKnight Memorial Home, 533 Willow Avenue, Hoboken in charge. Valet parking available in rear of memorial home off Sixth Street. Donations to St. Jude Children’s Hospital will be appreciated by the family. Envelopes will be provided.
