Vincent Citro, age 90, of Hoboken, passed away peacefully in his residence on Monday, July 1, 2019 surrounded by his loving family. Born in Hoboken. Vincent was an Army Veteran who proudly served his country.   He worked for the Hoboken Board of Education in Maintenance. He was a member of various organizations, the Young Dems, Petrosino Club, St. Francis Holy Name Society, Ronga Club and also very active in the Hoboken High School Boosters Club. He leaves to mourn his passing, his loving wife Jessie (nee Capraro), a son, Gerard (Cheryl) and a daughter Cammie Citro. He was predeceased by his parents, Gerard Citro and Julia (nee Verdicchio), a daughter Julianne Rugar and sister, Anne Haight. Also surviving is an endeared son-in-law Robert Rugar.  A great joy in Vincent’s life were his cherished grandchildren, Justina, Tanya, Vincent, Fabiana, Kristiana, Julianne and two great-grandchildren, Kayla and James.

The Funeral Mass will be on Saturday, July 6, 2019, 10AM at St. Francis RC Church, Hoboken. Entombment will follow at Holy Cross Chapel Mausoleum, North Arlington, NJ.  Visitation will be held on Friday, July 5, 2019, beginning at 4PM and concluding at 9PM at Failla-McKnight Memorial Home, 533 Willow Avenue, Hoboken. Valet parking available in rear of memorial home off Sixth Street.
