Obituary

Richard Francis “Tricky” England Jr., 82, lifelong resident of Hoboken, passed away peacefully on May 24, 2024. He leaves behind many cherished loved ones who will miss him dearly. Beloved husband of Dolores (née Donofrio) England of 55 years. Loving father of their four children, Derek (Angelina), Danny (Jennie), Richard (Jamie), and Katie (Matthew) Peluso. Older brother to Loretta England and Kathy Tamberelli. The greatest joys in Richard’s life were his cherished grandchildren, Jackson, Madison, Mason, Richard IV, Monroe, Kennedy, Daniel Jr., McKinley, and Kelly.

Richard was born on April 7th, 1942 in Jersey City, NJ to Loretta (née O’Brien) and Richard F. England. He proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War, being stationed in Korea. Following his dedicated service, he obtained his Master’s Degree at Fordham University. He started his career as a Plant Supervisor for Maxwell House Coffee in Hoboken, followed by numerous extraordinary achievements in life. He was a Councilman at Large, the President of the Hoboken Board of Education, and later became a Purchasing Agent for the City of Hoboken. He then retired as the Business Administrator for the City of Hoboken.

Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, May 30th, 10 AM at St. Ann’s Roman Catholic Church, 704

Entombment to follow at Holy Cross Chapel Mausoleum, 340 Ridge Road, North Arlington, NJ 07031.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 29th, 2-7 PM at the Failla-McKnight Memorial Home, 533
Willow Avenue, Hoboken, NJ 07030.
