Ralph B. Gaeta Jr., 72 years, from Hoboken, NJ passed away peacefully at his home in Winter Springs, Florida on August 22, 2023.
Ralph was born on May 10, 1951 in Hoboken Nj to Ralph (Sr.) and Anna (Dondero). Ralph graduated from St. Cecilia High School in Kearny, NJ.
He worked as a Supervisor for the Federal Post Office, Military Bulk and Foreign Mail Department in Secaucus, NJ for 37 years where he happily retired from in 2013.
Ralph was a loyal and devoted son, brother, uncle, husband, father, and grandfather. Ralph was often referred to as the “town mayor” because he knew someone everywhere he went. Ralph lit up every room he walked into and was known for his infectious laugh and sarcastic personality. Ralph was loved and will be missed by all who knew him.
Ralph was pre-deceased by his parents Anna and Ralph, his brothers Joseph and Eugene, his sister Marianne, and his daughter Kimberly.
Ralph is survived by his wife and life partner of 57 years, Katherine Nee Unalt, his daughters Jennifer (Debbie), Amy (Lorenzo), Joelle (JR), his sons Jordon, Jarrett (Steve) and his 9 grandchildren: Jack, Joey, Lina, Charlie, Rory, Sunday, Lupe, Evie, and Joseph. His sister Alice (Robert), his dear friends Amby, Yogi, Vera and his beloved dog, Lucy.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday August 30th, 2023 beginning at 4pm and concluding at 8pm. Arrangements made by Failla-Mcknight Memorial Home, valet parking is available in the rear of the memorial home.
Interment will take place with his late daughter at Holy Cross Cemetery in North Arlington, NJ. Following at Catholic Graveside Committal Blessing on Thursday August 31st, 2023 scheduled for 10:45am.
