Obituary

Nemesio “Mencho” Crespo, 80, of Hoboken, passed away on February 14th, 2023.

Nemesio was born in Rincon, Puerto Rico. He later moved to Hoboken, where he fulfilled his dreams of entrepreneurship, by owning his own bar at the age of 21.

Later in life, he opened his own grocery store. Finally, ending his career with his Taxicab company, where many of the locals remember him most fondly as their everyday ride with fun banter to and from work and everywhere in between.

He leaves his legacy of being known by all as a sweet, warm, kind, loving, husband, father, son, brother and a man that had a heart of gold, with a smile to match.

He is survived by his loving wife, Iris Delia Crespo, his son, Robert Crespo and daughter, Grace Sibilia.

A visitation will be held at Failla-McKnight Memorial Home; 533 Willow Avenue,

Hoboken, NJ on Saturday, February 18th, 2023, beginning at 12 noon and concluding at 4pm.

Parking available in rear of memorial home. Off sixth street, between Park and Willow Avenue.

Private cremation to follow.
