Madeline Lanza (nee Matarazzo) 93 passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her family on Saturday, February 26th. Madeline worked for Hopes at the Hoboken Welfare Department for 15 years and Meals on Wheels. She was married to John Lanza and a loving mother to Genevieve (Kevin), Diane, Frank (Patricia), Susan (Eric), Maria (Pete), John, and Madeline (Butch). A loving grandmother to Kevin, Patrick, Brandon, Travis, Leah, Ashley, Stephanie, Valerie, Alicia, Albert, Alexandria, Joseph, Gianna, Blair, and Hannah.

Madeline was predeceased by her parents Mildred and Eugene Matarazzo. Her brothers Victor, Felix, Charles, Eugene, and Joseph. Her sisters Philomena, Asunta, Jean, Antionette, and many nieces and nephews.

Although our hearts are broken. We will forever be grateful having such a lovely + caring (feisty) mom and grandmother. You taught us how to live and how to love, but not how to live with out you. Forever in our hearts until we meet again.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 2nd from 4PM-8PM at Failla-McKnight Memorial Home located 533 Willow Avenue, Hoboken NJ 07030. Parking is in rear of the memorial home off 6th street. Funeral Mass will be held at St. Ann’s Church at 10:30AM located 704 Jefferson Street, Hoboken NJ 07030. Followed by Holy Name Cemetery located in Jersey City, NJ.
