Katherine Ann Bracey-Torres, 54 years young, a lifelong Hoboken resident passed away on April 30, 2021 surrounded by her loving family. Katherine was born in Hoboken, NJ to Edna (nee Job) and Larry Bracey. She was raised by her devoted grandparents Ellen “Nanny” and Joseph “Poppy” LoPresto. She is survived by her five children, who made up the entirety of her world, Tamika Lynn Dominguez, Justin Luke Torres, Irisha Latina Rivera, Cherish LeChea Rose Frazier, and Lorenzo Wesley Frazier. Katherine was a dedicated mother first and foremost. She treasured her children and embraced every moment with them. She especially loved her role as grandma to Jacob Diaz, Kingston Perez, and Aziel Torres. She had a vivacious personality and always made people around her laugh. She cared deeply for her family and friends. She did this not out of obligation, but because of who she was. Katherine will be best remembered for her amazing cooking skills and the special touches she would put into all her recipes. She had an absolute zest for life. Katherine loved dancing and watching her true crime shows while snacking on her favorite treat Jelly Rings. She will leave an everlasting impression on all that knew her. Katherine will be especially missed by her sister and best friend, Barbara Bracey as well as her cherished siblings, Ellen Hernandez, William “Billy Joe” Bracey, Larry Bracey, and Chip Charles Bracey, and many nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her brother Joshua Bracey.
Visitation will be held at the Failla-McKnight Memorial Home on May 4, 2021 beginning at 6 P.M. and concluding at 7 P.M. Cremation will be private. We ask all guests to wear a mask and follow all Covid-19 regulations.
