Obituary

Joseph Patrick Brennan, 71, of Hoboken, NJ died peacefully on July 9, 2021 at Community Medical Center in Toms River, NJ. Joe was born, raised and lived nearly his entire life in Hoboken NJ.  To him it was more than just a town, city, or a place to grow up, it was one of the many things he identified with, but it was far from the only thing.  Joe was passionate about many things in life such as spirituality, politics, equality, yoga, family, friendship, and perhaps most of all his grandchildren who he loved dearly, and who loved him as much in return.

Loving father of Ryan, Kristian, his wife Liana , Mary and her husband Jayme. Cherished grandfather of Aidan, Grace , Emily , Lily and Carter. Joseph is survived by his brothers Thomas and Martin and their wives, respectively Kathy and Miguelina, his sisters Mary Pelegrino and Ann Kelly and Ann’s husband Brian Kelly, as well as host of nieces, nephews and life long friends.  Joseph was predeceased by his parents Thomas and Katherine (nee Dunford), his son John Patrick, Anne Dunphy, the mother of Ryan, Kristian and Mary, and Brother In Law Fred “Brother” Pellegrino. He will be missed by all, and surely never forgotten.

Om Shanti Om: Peace in body, peace in mind, peace in speech and peace in spirit.
