Obituary

Joseph Prezioso, 91, a lifelong resident of Hoboken, passed away July 6, 2022.

Joe lived a wonderful life filled with lots of joy, and surrounded by his loving family.

Joe was a proud army veteran serving in Germany during the Korean War.

After he completed his service he married his wife, Nella, and they had two sons, Joseph and Anthony.

He began his career at Chemical Bank and later moved on to Colgate Estates.

While working full time he attended night school at St. Peter’s College where he earned a degree in business education. He went on to have a rewarding career teaching business courses at Memorial High School in West New York until he retired in 1995.

He was a life-long member, past president and treasurer of St. Francis Holy name society.

Joe is pre-deceased by his loving wife Nella Prezioso (De Bari), his parents

Vito Prezioso and Marta Prezioso (De Gioia), his brother Sergio Prezioso, and his two sisters, Elizabeth Catania and Diane Kronyak.

He leaves behind his two sons, Joseph Prezioso and wife Linda, and Anthony Prezioso.

Four grandchildren, Allison, Sarah, Steven and Bethany, and one great-grandson, Wyatt.

He is also mourned by his two sister-in-law’s, Anna-Rose Prezioso and Phyllis Palombini, his cousins Angie and Vicky, many nieces, nephews and dear friends.

Visitation will be Wednesday, July 13, 2022 4-8pm at Failla-McKnight Memorial home.

A mass will be held on Thursday, July 14, 2022 at 10:30am in St. Francis Church, Hoboken.
