Giovanna “Marie” Carbone nee Baglieri, 92, Of Bayville New Jersey passed away peacefully on Monday October 9th, 2023 at the Hampton Ridge residence in Toms River NJ.
Marie was a former resident of Union City and Secaucus before relocating to South Jersey. Marie was employed for Hudson County as an Administrator service director for C.E.T.A. Her specialty was in the Joint Training Partnership Programs. She retired in 1996 after 23 years of dedicated service.
She was predeceased by her husband Joseph F Carbone and endeared sister Jennie Gazzillo. Surviving are her three cherished daughters Mary Terese Violaris M.D, Nelanne Hess RN and Laurie Jean Sullivan. Marie was also a licensed realtor and a licensed insurance broker in New Jersey. She was a former member of the Immaculate Conception Parents association and a member of the Saint Aloysius Parents Advisory Board.
A great joy in her life were her grandchildren Joseph Violaris MD, Alexa, Ryan, Kevin Hess D.O. and Diana.
The funeral mass will be offered at ST. Francis RC Church at 3rd and Jefferson Street, Hoboken on Saturday October 14th beginning at 9:30am. Ample parking available adjunct to the church. Arrangements by Failla-McKnight Memorial Home 533 Willow Ave Hoboken, NJ.
Visitation will be held on Friday October 13th, 2023 beginning at 4pm and concluding at 8pm parking available in rear of memorial home off 6th street.
A private Interment for the immediate family only will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery in North Arlington, NJ.
In Lieu of flowers memorial donations can be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital, envelopes will be offered at the funeral home.
