Obituary

Frank T. Visaggio, 61, of Hoboken, passed away at home on Saturday, December 5, 2020. Born in Hoboken. Frank was an auto mechanic for the Teamsters Union in North Bergen, New Jersey.  He was predeceased by his father Vincenzo Visaggio. Frank was known as an Official Mayor of Hoboken. He loved talking to people, loved visiting the Jersey Shore. He enjoyed life, an “All Around Nice Guy”. Surviving is his loving mother, Rosemarie (nee Mariano) Visaggio. Also surviving is his cherished wife, Ansuya Patel, his son Frank Visaggio, a step daughter Bhavna Patel and step son Rocky Patel, three brothers, Phil, Vincent and Antonio Visaggio, and two sisters, Gina King and Teresa Visaggio.

The Funeral Mass will be offered on Wednesday, December 9, 2020, 12PM at St. Francis RC Church, Hoboken. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 9, 2020, beginning at 9am and concluding at 11:30am at Failla-McKnight Memorial Home, 533 Willow Avenue, Hoboken. Parking available in rear of memorial home off Sixth Street. Private Cremation.

For the safety of in-person attendees and our staff, gatherings at Failla Memorial Home will currently follow the latest guidelines as described here: 

  • All people attending must wear a mask while inside and around the outside of the funeral home. 
  • For safety, the number of attendees indoors will be limited to a reduced capacity according to currently allowed levels and shall be monitored by the management.
  • All attendees must practice social distancing while paying their respects.
