Obituary

Frank Castella, 87, of Hoboken, NJ died peacefully on February 6, 2021 at
Hackensack University Medical Center. Predeceased by his beloved wife, Rachel
(née Amato) (1989). Loving father of Anthony and his wife Angie, Frank and his
wife Caroline, Michael and his girlfriend Michelle, and Maria Kish and her husband
Bob. Cherished grandfather of Francesco, Joseph, Michael, Rachele, Bobby, and
Tyler. He is also survived by his Niece Maria Castella.
Frank was born in Monte San Giacomo, Italy to Maria (née Caporrino) and
Antonio Castella. He was the longest tenured member of the Monte San Giacomo
Club, a Past President and current treasurer of the club, and recipient of the Man of
the Year award. He was employed as a textile mechanic with Batex Knitwear Co.
of West New York, NJ for many years, and a devout parishioner of St. Ann’s R.C.
Church since 1961.
Funeral Mass Friday, February 12, 2021, 11:30 AM, St. Ann’s R.C. Church,
Hoboken. Entombment Fairview Mausoleum, Fairview. Visitation Thursday,
February 11, 2021, commencing at 5 PM and concluding at 9 PM at the Failla-
McKnight Memorial Home, 533 Willow Avenue, Hoboken, NJ. Parking is
available in the rear of the memorial home, off Sixth Street. In lieu of flowers,
donations may be made in Frank’s memory to the Leukemia & Lymphoma
