Francis (Frank) Altomare 79 of Hoboken New Jersey passed away peacefully on August 4th 2023. A lifelong resident of Hoboken, Frank was a Police Sergeant serving with the Hoboken Police department from 1973-1994 as well as its first K9 handler for the department. Then going on to earn various awards, and commendations.
In 1998, he went on to establish Hoboken Body Art, Hoboken’s only tattoo parlor which operated for 24 years.
Frank is survived by his children, Two sons John and his wife Randi and Frank and his wife Angie his only daughter Angela. As well as a sister Marietta Chaneski and her husband Bob.
Frank was also blessed with five beautiful grandchildren, Alice, Emma, John, Nicholas, and Lyra and a host of loving nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held at Failla-McKnight Memorial Home on Tuesday August the 8th beginning at 4pm and concluding at 8 pm. Relatives and Friends are respectfully invited to share in the celebration of the funeral mass to be offered at St. Ann’s RC. Church, Hoboken on Wednesday August 9th beginning at 10am. A private cremation will follow.
