Dorothy M. Hennelly (nee Dale) passed away peacefully in the presence of her son on Tuesday, October 8, 2019 at Rose Garden Nursing Home in Toms River, New Jersey. Born in Jersey City and lived there until she moved to Hoboken in 1947. She was a devoted parishioner of Our Lady of Grace Church in Hoboken. She moved from Hoboken in 2017 to Toms River, New Jersey where she resided there upon her death. Dorothy worked at Nabisco in Jersey City until she left to raise a family.  She was predeceased by her husband George Hennelly in 1982 and her sister Eleanor in 1991. Also predeceased by her parents Harry and Mae (nee Fallon) Dale and son-in-law Gil Saddler. She leaves to mourn her passing her loving son Thomas and his wife Maureen, cherished daughters Kathleen Saddler and Patricia Peterson and her husband Raymond, and her brother Harold Dale and his wife Elaine and many nieces and nephews. Her greatest joy were her four grandchildren Brian Peterson (Vicki), Karen Peterson (Jose Ayala), Erin Peterson and fiancé Guiel Diaz and Marykate Benedetto (Robert). A special gift in Dorothy’s life was to see her great-grandchildren, Ella and Grayson.

Her Funeral Mass will be offered on Friday, October 11, 2019, 9:30AM at Our Lady of Grace Church, 400 Willow Avenue, Hoboken. Internment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, North Arlington, New Jersey.  Visitation will be held on Friday, October 11, 2019, 8AM at Failla-McKnight Memorial Home, 533 Willow Avenue, Hoboken. Parking available in rear of memorial home off Sixth Street.
