Cosmo Gigante, 85 of Weehawken, NJ passed away peacefully on January 2, 2022.  Born in Molfetta, Italy to the late Lazzaro and Francesca (nee Altamura) Gigante.  He came to Hoboken, NJ at the age 19 where he worked in Construction and Masonry.  He was married to his beloved wife Maria (nee Picca) Gigante for 59 years and leaves behind two daughters, Francesca Gigante and Giovanna Orecchio and her husband Alfredo.  He was a devoted nonno to his two precious grandchildren Gianna and Joseph.  He is survived by his sister Marta Picininni and predeceased by his siblings Vincenza Petruzzella, Rosa DeGennaro, Pietro Gigante, Corrado Gigante, and Andrew Gigante.  He will be sadly missed by his three endeared sister-in-laws, Mary, Carol and Joann, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends near and far.  Cosmo was an honorary member of The Federazione Molfettesi D’America, and a big INTER soccer fan.   

Visitation will be held at St. Ann’s R.C. Church on Wednesday, January 5, 2022 beginning at 9:30 A.M. The Funeral Mass will begin promptly at 11 A.M.  Entombment will follow at Fairview Mausoleum.  In lieu of flowers donations will be made to a charity of your choice.
