Obituary

Clemente F. Jaramillo, 87, passed away in the presence of his family at Hackensack University Medical Center on Wednesday, October 21, 2020. Clemente was born in Guayaquil, Ecuador and immigrated to Hoboken in 1967. He was a retired factory worker for the Chemi Tex Company in Hoboken for many years.  Clemente was an avid soccer fan, dedicated to his family and he and his wife are parishioners at Our Lady of Grace Church for more than 50 years. He leaves to mourn his passing, his loving wife of fifty years, Zoe (nee Martinez), his devoted son, Marlon and his endeared companion, Holly Hassinger, his cherished daughter Alexandra Murphy and her husband Daniel, a brother Washington and two sisters, Tula and Mary. A great joy in his life was his only grandson, Charles Anthony Murphy. He was the endeared uncle to Pilar Kayo and a host of other cherished nieces and nephews.  His family and friends will best remember his righteousness and love of the city of Hoboken. He was predeceased by two brothers, Luis and Jose and two sisters, Margo and Olga.

The Funeral Mass will be offered on Monday, October 26, 2020, 9:30AM at Our Lady of Grace Church, 400 Willow Avenue, Hoboken. Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 25, 2020, beginning at 4PM and concluding 8Pm at Failla-McKnight Memorial Home, 533 Willow Avenue, Hoboken. Parking available in rear of memorial home off Sixth Street.
