Obituary

Bienvenida Aponte, 87, of Hoboken, passed away on Friday, April 17, 2020 at Christ Hospital, Jersey City, New Jersey.  Born in Candelaria Province, Cuba.  She was predeceased by her parents, Margarito Gonzalez and Bernalda (nee Acosta).  Also predeceased by her loving husband, Buenaventura Aponte (2007). Bienvenida was the endeared, caring and doting mother of her five children, Hector and Kerri Aponte, Ernesto and Lynne Aponte, Jose Aponte and Millie, Maria and Miguel Cristal and Gema Aleman. A great joy in her life were her cherished grandchildren, Mike, Diane (Angelo) Almasri, Dahlia and Michelle, Jake, Jazzmine, Cory, Rachel, Tyler, Brendan, and three great-grandchildren, AJ, Sophia and Madelyn.

Due to the current health crisis, Bienvenida will be privately buried at Holy Cross Cemetery, North Arlington. Donations to the Juvenile Diabetes Foundation, www.jdrf.org., will be greatly appreciated by the family.
